Christopher Arthur "Chris" Amon MBE (AY-mon; born 20th July, 1943 in Bulls, New Zealand - died 3rd August, 2016[1]) was a former motor racing driver who competed in Formula One between 1963 and 1976. Amon was labelled as one of the best F1 drivers never to win a race.

Amon is third in the list of most podiums without a win, with 11, while also holding the record for most poles without a win with five. Nick Heidfeld tops the former list, with 13 podiums but no wins to his name, although the New Zealander did win two non-championship races: the 1970 International Trophy and the 1971 Argentine Grand Prix.
