Bud Tingelstad (born 4 April 1928 and died 30 July 1981) was an American racecar driver who participated in the Indianapolis 500 from 1960 to 1974. His participation in the 1960 Indianapolis 500 was counted towards the 1960 Formula One Season, although he scored no championship points.
He began racing in the USAC Championship Car series in 1960, making his debut at the Indianapolis 500 that year. He competed regularly in the series until 1969, after which his appearances in the series were only occasional. In 1972, he only entered the Indianapolis 500, although he failed to qualify. He retired in 1974 after failing to start a race at the Ontario Motor Speedway in California.
He died of a heart attack in 1981 at the age of 53.
