Robert Brett Lunger (born November 14, 1945 in Wilmington, Delaware) is a retired driver. Between 1975 and 1978 he entered 43 races, qualifying in 34 of them. He drove as a privateer, because he was one of the heirs to the multi-billion dollar DuPont fortune. He primary claim to fame is as the actual person who pulled Niki Lauda out of his burning car at the Nürburgring in the 1976 German Grand Prix.
