Bernard Marie François Alexandre Collomb-Clerc (born 7 October 1930, died 19 September 2011) was a French Formula One driver. He entered six World Championship Grand Prix between 1961 and 1964, making four starts and achieving a best finish of 10th at the 1963 German Grand Prix.


Formula One Career[]

1961[]

Collomb acquired a Cooper-Climax T53, which he would enter into two Championship races in 1961. He made his debut at the French Grand Prix, his home race, at Reims. He qualified 21st, but lost positions in the opening laps, dropping to 25th at the end of lap four. Retirements ahead and an overtake on Ian Burgess meant he rose to 21st but he retired after six laps with a valve issue.

He returned for his second appearance of the season at the German Grand Prix. This time, qualifed second to last in 26th, 87.8 seconds off of pole position. He again made up positions early in the race, and as cars retired he rose as high as 11th before retiring again with engine problems.
