The BAR 01 (also known as BAR PR01) was the first Formula One used by British American Racing during the 1999 Formula One Season. The car was fitted with a Supertec FB01 V10 engine and is the only BAR car to use a non-Honda engine.

It featured a unique dual livery design with the left side of the car painted blue in 555 branding and the right side of the car painted white and red with Lucky Strike branding. Both brands were owned by British American Tobacco. Initially, the team wanted to use two different liveries for each driver, with Jacques Villeneuve in Lucky Strike and Ricardo Zonta in 555, but this was prohibited by the regulations requiring both cars to run identical liveries.
