The BAR 007 was the final Formula One car designed by British American Racing. It was driven during the 2005 Formula One Season by Jenson Button and Takuma Sato, as well as Anthony Davidson during the Malaysian Grand Prix. The car was involved in a controversy early in the season, resulting in a disqualification and two-race ban.

After finishing on the podium in the San Marino Grand Prix, Button was subsequently disqualified from the race after his car was found to be under the minimum weight of 605kg required by the regulations. Although they were originally going to disqualify BAR from the entire season, the FIA settled on a two-race ban. This punishment was also applied to Sato, despite finding no infraction on his car.
