The Austrian Grand Prix is a motor race, currently on the Formula One calendar. It was first held in 1963 as a non-championship race, and the first championship race was in 1964. As of 2022, there have been a total of 36 races. The first two races were held on a temporary airport circuit in Zeltweg, but that proved unsuitable. A few years later, a purpose-built circuit was constructed about 2km north of the airport, and that track (formerly known as Österreichring and A1 Ring; and currently Red Bull Ring) has hosted the event ever since.
