Alex Powell (born 18 September 2007 in Miami, Florida, USA) is an American-born, Jamaican racing driver currently part of the Mercedes Junior Team.[1] In April 2019, at the age of 11, he joined the Mercedes Junior Team, making him the youngest driver to join the Mercedes team.
Powell is coached by Mike Wilson, who has six World Championships to his name which makes him the most successful Anglo-Italian driver in karting history. Current F1 drivers, Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll, have been trained by Mike Wilson.[2]
