Alfred "Al" Unser (May 29, 1939 - December 9, 2021) was an American racing driver who was a four-time Indianapolis 500 winner.
He took part in the 1971 Questor Grand Prix, retiring on the first lap.
Al's brother Bobby Unser is a three-time winner of the 500, and his son Al Unser Jr. won the event twice.
On December 9 2021, he passed away after a long-time battle with cancer at his home in Chama, New Mexico.[1]
