The 2015 German Grand Prix (officially the Formula 1 Grosser Preis von Deutschland 2015) was going to be the tenth race of the 2015 season. It was scheduled to be held between July 17 and July 19, 2015. Due to ownership issues with the Nürburgring, it was unknown whether the race would take place there or at the Hockenheimring, after the Nürburgring was excluded from the provisional 2015 calendar.Bernie Ecclestone said in January 2015 that the race will be hosted at the Hockenheimring, but circuit officials reported quickly that there is so far no contract for 2015. Ecclestone later said he had doubts that the race will take place, and Georg Seiler eventually confirmed that due to being unable have it prepared, the race will not take place at the Hockenheimring, adding "We have no hope any more of having a Formula One race here." The Nürburgring was not able to be ready for the Grand Prix either. As a result of this, the German Grand Prix was cancelled for the 2015 season.
