Sebastian Vettel's 2012 season was his sixth season in Formula One. He started the season as World Champion for the second time, having won his second title at the 2011 Japanese Grand Prix.
His first victory of the season was at the Bahrain Grand Prix. He then went on to win three Grands Prix in row, in Singapore, Japan and South Korea.
He took the Driver's Championship, three points ahead of Fernando Alonso.

Pre-season[]
Vettel has participated in three tests in preparation for 2012. In the test in Jerez, he performed well, setting the third best time on his first day, and the quickest time on the final day. In the first Barcelona test, he was third on both days. At the second Barcelona test, on his first day of running he ranked third. On the final day, however, a problem with the car meant that he was unable to get a full day's running and set the slowest time of the day.
