The second 2012 Barcelona Test is a four day test session that is due to start on March 1st and conclude on March 4th at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona. Red Bull and Ferrari intended to run from March 2nd to March 5th, but the FIA have stated that doing so would be against the rules.
Marussia will miss the test after their car, the MR01, failed a crash test. HRT have chosen to run only on the final day.
Heikki Kovalainen was intended to drive for Caterham on the first day, but illness meant his team-mate, Vitaly Petrov, had to drive instead.
Romain Grosjean, of Lotus, set the fastest time of day one, ahead of McLaren's Jenson Button.
On day two, fog delayed the start of the day's running, and the day ended half an hour later than originally planned. Grosjean set the fastest time at the death, beating Jean-Éric Vergne's time.
