The 2001 Formula One Season was the 52nd season of the Drivers' World Championship and the 44th season of the Constructors' Championship.
It began on March 4 in Australia and ended on October 14 in Japan.
The Drivers' World Championship was won by Michael Schumacher of Ferrari, 58 points ahead of David Coulthard of McLaren-Mercedes. Rubens Barrichello of Ferrari was third.
The Constructors' Championship was won by Ferrari, 77 points ahead of McLaren-Mercedes.
