The 1995 Simtek season was Simtek's 2nd and final season as a constructor. Domenico Schiattarella came back after two races in 1994, whilst Benetton's Number 2 driver Jos Verstappen filled the seat left by David Brabham after his move to the British Touring Car Championship. The Dutchman was seeking more experience after an incident filled season at Benetton in 1994.[1] Their test driver was Japan's Hideki Noda.

Their season was over after just five rounds into the season, after the Simtek team went into voluntary liquidation in June 1995. This also eliminated any hopes of Noda getting a race seat later on in the year

Race-by-race[]

Brazilian Grand Prix[]

This began Simtek's second Formula One campaign. Both cars were out by lap 16, having suffered failures.

Argentine Grand Prix[]

In this race, Schiattarella equalled the best finish in a Simtek car by finishing 9th, in another incident-filled race where many drivers retired.

San Marino Grand Prix[]

At this race, their first since the fatal accident of Roland Ratzenberger, both drivers suffered failures. On lap 14, Verstappen suffered a failed gearbox, followed by Schiattarella's suspension later on.

Spanish Grand Prix[]

For Jos Verstappen, it was the first finish of the season, when Schiattarella and Verstappen finished in 12th and 15th respectivly.

Monaco Grand Prix[]

For Simtek this race proved to be their final one, and it was short-lived, as both drivers failed to start.
