The 1975 Swiss Grand Prix was a non-championship event held on August 24. The race was actually held at Dijon-Prenois, in France, not far from the Swiss border. It was an attempt to interest Swiss fans in having a race of their own, something that has been banned by the Swiss government since the 1955 Le Mans disaster.
The race was won by Swiss driver Clay Regazzoni in a Ferrari, after early leader Jean-Pierre Jarier's Shadow broke down. Patrick Depailler in a Tyrrell finished second, ahead of Jochen Mass in a McLaren.
