The 1958 Monaco Grand Prix was held on May 18. It was the second race of the season, and the 16th Monaco Grand Prix ever held. The race was won by Maurice Trintignant in a Cooper-Climax, who drove a careful and measured race, holding off two of the favored Ferraris. In a race of attrition where only six cars made it to the finish, Luigi Musso and Peter Collins took second and third for the Scuderia, but after half distance were never within striking distance of Trintignant.
