The 1957 British Grand Prix, or known as the Grand Prix d'Europe (Incorporating the 10^th R.A.C. British Grand Prix), was held on July 20 at the Aintree Motor Racing Circuit near Liverpool. A huge crowd witnessed the first ever victory for a British car, with a Vanwall in a shared drive for Tony Brooks and Stirling Moss taking the flag. Second place went to Luigi Musso in a Lancia-Ferrari, with his teammate Mike Hawthorn in third.
