The 1930 Belgian Grand Prix was held at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps on July 30. The race was won by factory Bugatti driver Louis Chiron, after teammate Guy Bouriat led most of the race, but pulled over and stopped when the team ordered him to allow Chiron to win. Bouriat restarted and finished a full minute behind Chiron, much to the displeasure of the crowd, who felt that Bouriat was the star of the day.

The race was run under a fuel consumption formula. Cars could use no more than 14 kg per 100 km, including oil. The cars had to weigh at least 900 kg.
The track had been modified slightly by removing the chicane at Malmedy.
